AUNTS IN MY TRIBE

πŸ’œ There are a multitude of labels yet to apply to hundreds of my handmade HEARTLAND TRIBE MERCH.  It’s a labor of love to see this dream be born.

πŸ’œ My art prints are photographs I have taken.  They are suitable for framing and giving as keepsake greeting cards.  They are printed on linen and pearl paper.  Some have a place on the back for notes.

This is a photograph I took of a flag flying at our home in Blue Springs, and red geraniums in a hanging pot.  Granny Lucille always had pots of red geraniums at each house she owned in Liberty, Missouri.

222 West Franklin, Liberty, Missouri
Liberty’s Historic District

I designed the art print cards with a NOTE section because for years my Granny Lucille, Nanny (Aunt Ann), Aunt Helen, Aunt Beulah, Aunt Boob, Aunt Reba, Aunt Jacoba, and Aunt Verpal and Sis-in-law, Shirley, wrote messages all over the cards they lovingly sent me and so many others.

πŸ’œ Aunt Boob, a single gal all her life, had a personal ministry of sending birthday and get well cards with handwritten messages to everyone she knew.

πŸ’œ No one ever told us exactly how Aunt Boob got the name.   Everybody wants to know that story - even me!  She was a godly woman  who lived with her parents their entire life.  She was engaged once but never married.  She radiated light.  And she barely had any boobs - so I really wonder about her story!!

The NOTE section is in honor of those creative women who put in their own handwriting - their love and affection on greeting cards.  I gave you a place to do the same rather than write in the margins like the aunts in my tribe did.

“AUNTS IN MY TRIBE” reminds me
