UNEXPECTED BENEFITS OF HANDWRITING OVER TYPING IN DIGITAL AGE

Handwriting is unlikely to become obsolete in the digital age.

Handwriting retains value for its potential cognitive benefits and practical applications.

Studies suggest handwriting enhances memory and learning compared to typing and it engages more brain regions

Handwriting can also be a hobby or art form.
The future of writing includes a mix of traditional and digital methods.
Experts have warned that children's handwriting is now so bad that teenagers need lessons in secondary school.
New research indicates that writing by hand, as opposed to using a keyboard, enhances learning and memory.  Brain connectivity patterns during handwriting are more elaborate and crucial for memory formation and encoding new information.

HANDWRITING SHOWS UNEXPECTED BENEFITS OVER TYPING

Children need a fun, creative approach to writing and the correct pencil grip.
Many teachers feel unprepared to teach handwriting due to a lack of formal training in handwriting instruction and the shift toward digital writing.
Teachers express frustration at the lack of enthusiasm among their students about handwriting.  Others say they lack the instructional materials to strengthen writing skills.
It's important to teach handwriting throughout the primary years to develop speed and fluency and encourage students to develop their own style of handwriting.
It all begins with learning basic handwriting skills and having fun on the journey.

You can't scare me.
I've taught readers-in-training, writers-in-training and artists-in-training for three decades.
It's my dream to give the 22.53 million children aged 0 to 5 years living in the United States plus the estimated 600 million children around the world under 5 years old - the tools they need to read, write, draw and have fun doing it.

I designed the breakthrough SKY, SAND and SEA MANUSCRIPT PRINTING TABLET for preschool kindergarten and primary children.
I equip parents and teachers to become writing coaches.
The tablet can also be used with secondary students who have not mastered basic handwriting skills.

The Difference

I designed the breakthrough SKY, SAND and SEA MANUSCRIPT PRINTING TABLET for preschool kindergarten, primary children, and their parents and teachers who I instruct to become their writing coaches.

SKY, SAND and SEA MANUSCRIPT PRINTING TABLET has the potential to be more popular than the BIG CHIEF TABLET that I loved as a child.  Western Tablet trademarked the BIG CHIEF TABLET in 1947.  It was discontinued in 2001, after some 80 years of production.

SKY, SAND and SEA PRINTING TABLET has been kid-tested in my classrooms with great success.
