  • February 14, 2024, Valentine’s Day, was a day of celebration in Kansas City for our World Champion Kansas City Chiefs.  It was a great day for a parade with beautiful weather which is a blessing in KC winter.

  • Something scary happened at the end of the parade.  Children and adults were hurt.  My friend, Joy, knows two of the children who were hurt.  She asked us to pray.  

  • ❤️ You can  pray and talk to our Heavenly Father in good times and bad and especially when scary things happen. Yesterday in our SHOW AND TELL UNIVERSITY Live event we paused to pray for the people who were hurt in KC.

  • ❤️ I talked about Mr. Rogers’ advice that his mom shared with him, “When you see scary things on the news look for the helpers.  You will always find people who are helping.”

  • ❤️ You can be a helper.  

  • ❤️ You can continue to pray for the people who were hurt in KC and for the people who help them and help the people of KC be safe everyday…and for hurting humans and  helpers around the world.

  • ❤️ When you see something scary - tell someone you trust like your mom or dad or grandparents who can talk with you and pray with you.  God will help each one of us. Talk to Him.  He hears you.

LOVE LETTER TO THE GENERATIONS

 March 2025 Dear ❤️ Zoomers (Gen Z),   ❤️ Millenials (Gen Y), ❤️ Gen X,  and ❤️ Gen Alpha… I hear your anger and frustration and the conclusions you have thus far drawn from what you deem as truth. If you were my daughter or son or granddaughter or grandson I would invite you over for my homemade oatmeal cookies and sweet tea.  We would eat, drink, talk, really listen to each other with respect,  and pray together.   I would tell you stories of our family:  their loves and losses, their faith and values, and their work ethic, with the hope that their stories would inspire you to seek the truth and reach for the destiny God created you to fulfill.
